Lady reading a Letter (1892)_Herman Norrman (Swedish, 1864-1906)
Lately, I've been experiencing a lot of stress, to the point where I couldn't focus on anything.
On the day I craved melon bread, my sibling and I stopped by a bakery and found melon bread with a fly in it. We reluctantly gave it a miss and bought sweet potato cream bread instead. Perhaps the stress I'd been feeling was a subtle build-up for the goal of reaching 3,000 views on my brunch post.
On my Instagram story, some people even voted that it was okay to eat the 'melon bread with a fly in it' if I really wanted it. Indeed, people make different choices in life.
If you really crave melon bread, you might choose to eat the one with a fly in it. It's a matter of personal choice, and that freedom brings happiness to each individual.
I chose the sweet potato cream bread instead of the melon bread with a fly and found happiness in it. I also found a clue to the problem I'd been agonizing over. And that post received over 2,000 views on Brunch, bringing another wave of joy. It felt like all the stress I'd been through was finally rewarded.
It truly proves that misfortune can turn into good fortune, and life is full of unexpected twists and turns.
To be honest, I felt a little embarrassed because I wrote the first draft so quickly. But I know that articles are perfected through revision, so I'll have to refine it whenever I have time.
I'll end this post with anticipation for the next wave of happiness that comes my way.
