"Never assume that the person you're dealing with is weaker or less important than you. Someone who is lowly and struggling today may be in power tomorrow. We forget many things in life, but we never forget being insulted."

-The 48 Laws of Power, Robert Greene

As stated in Robert Greene's <The 48 Laws of Power>, the fact that someone who is in a low position and facing hardship today may gain power tomorrow, and that while we forget many things in life, we never forget the memory of being insulted, is very significant.

Wouldn't it be great if dreams could just be received if you wished for them?

Sadly, the world is not populated only by kind people. I've also encountered people who belittle dreams. If it were just a mild coldness like, 'Will that even work?', I would have simply ignored it. However, the attitude of being cold to the point of trying to force my dreams to fit their standards felt reminiscent of dictatorship.

It's my dream, so why should I have to conform to someone else's standards and values?

I still can't understand why my opinions and dreams should be dismissed just because they don't align with someone else's worldview.

It doesn't matter to me what the person's intentions were when they said that. But one thing is certain: life is unpredictable. No one knows how someone's future will unfold, not even today. Even the president can't be sure about their future in this world. They probably never imagined they'd end up in jail when they were elected.

It's unfortunate that their words hurt me, but my focus is not on them, it's on myself. I look towards the rising sun for myself and walk my own path.

-The Artist's Way

Everything we experience in life helps us grow and develop. Even if our dreams are belittled or we are insulted by someone, all of it can become a stepping stone for tomorrow.

Therefore, we must walk our own path and believe in the future we desire. Let's not forget that the difficulties we face today can lead to success tomorrow.
