Why do you write?
What do you want to achieve through writing?

When faced with such a question from a stranger, I would simply reply, "It's just fun."

Every writer I encounter has diverse reasons and goals for writing. Some enjoy the process of writing itself, while others aim to earn money through their writing or to deliver comfort and happiness to others through their words.

When asked why I write, my initial response is that it's genuinely enjoyable. However, my reasons and goals extend beyond simple pleasure. I also have dreams that I hope to achieve through writing.

Why I Write - It's Up to the Writer

The love letter (1883)_Gustave Jean Jacquet (French, 1846-1909)

I believe that one day, the writing I'm doing now will become a good friend that helps my dreams shine. While simply enjoying the process is good, lately, I've been pouring more dreams and hopes into my writing. It might be a challenging journey, but for a story to be interesting, it needs challenging conflicts and difficulties. So, I just accept it. (Probably?)

▶ We don't desire the habit itself. What we truly want is the outcome that habit will bring. The bigger the obstacle, i.e., the harder the habit is to form, the further away we are from the state we want to be in. This is why we need to make habits easy. That way, we can do it even when we don't feel like it. If we make good habits easy, we will continue to do them.
